Fragility
Last year July, a family friend of ours, Jane (Aged 36, wife, and mother of two), complained of a recurring headache; within a week, she was diagnosed with a brain tumour, went into theatre and died a couple days after her operation.
I couldn’t comprehend how quickly it had all happened, and I came to understand how fragile we all really are. Our lives are nothing less than a miracle, and I think we often overlook how incredibly complex our bodies are.
This set of drawings is my attempt at illustrating the complexity and fragility of our bodies.
